In conjuction with our fabulously decadent monthly Mariachi Tea Dance, each month we bring you a workshop to stretch your dancing to meet your desire to express yourself on the dance floor.

This month’s workshop is going to tool U up with the techniques U need to dance more expressively: frame, connection, communication with your dance partner. Taking “difficult” music and making it easy with simple techniques that will bring your dance on leaps and bounds!! It’s there: just waiting for U…

This month’s Mariachi Workshop is all about giving your dancing that little bit of performance oomph!! With competitions coming up, this workshop will be looking at some nice moves, but will also focus on competition dancing and skills. CJ has placed in National Competitions in “back to basics, aerials, showcase as well as DWAS or “lucky dip” categories at Leroc UK, Ceroc Scotland, Ceroc Midlands and Chance to Dance UK Open Jive Competitions.

The format is such that we will be running a masterclass kind of structure, directly addressing any questions or concerns you bring with regards to your dancing.

This month’s workshop is aimed at bringing out the expressive dancer from within you!!!

This workshop will look at what skills you already have and add to them, freeing you from any shackles you may have!

Incorporating musicality, connection technique, some nice moves, interpretation and styling… this workshop will be very much focused on taking what’s inside you and bringing it out onto the floor.

Bookings have been flowing in thick and fast - and we are sorry to say that in the interest of gender balancing we are currently in the position of having to unfortunately put a hold on single female tickets for both freestyles and some workshops, which means we can currently only accept books from
men, mixed couples and mixed groups (men must exceed or equal number of ladies).

The expression Toolbox range of workshops are aimed at giving dancers a greater repertoire of dancing toys to help them express themselves in greater detail on the dance floor. As with everything we do, musicality and technique is paramount: toolbox 29 has some beautiful moves also: some for the guys to hit moments, some for the ladies to have their moments too…

Once again, the very best dance event in Scotland: incorporating music for those who do Modern Jive, Blues, WCS and Tango. A wide range of styles, genres and tempi, Mariachi is music that features prominent guitar.

After a weekend of dusk till dawn dancing, with dancers from all over the UK, we will be delighted to fit back in with reality with just a tea dance. A plain ol’, ho hum run of the mill tea dance: if fantastic dancers, homemade cakes, a stunning dance floor, varied, expressive music and a warm atmosphere are all run of the mill…
